Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler. |
Two-thirds of HI-STYLE currently surf the corporate wave, bringing in our dollars by sitting on our butts and playing with spreadsheets. Office dress codes vary from industry to industry and from office to office, but no matter how lax or strict the rules, some days you just want to look fierce. For me, the easiest way to do that is with a clean white shirt or blouse and some killer accessories.
We have our priorities - footwear and wine.
It's no secret that I'm a fan of the classic button-down, but I've pulled some options together for when you want to go above and beyond basic cubicle wear.
CASUAL MONDAY
At first glance, this is just another average white collared shirt that needs a little ironing. But the devil is in the details - that notched button hole at the collar, the seam that runs across the chest but behind the pockets, and of course the slouchy, comfortable wrinkles. Step away from that steamer! This look depends on its "imperfections." Just one more way to keep the weekend relaxation vibes going a little longer.
SHEER GENIUS
I know what you're thinking: sheer, at the office? No way. But it can be done! By keeping the sheer panels at the bottom, all you're showing is some anonymous skin - instead of your entire bra. Don't get me wrong, I love a good peek of lace. But some things are better left outside the board room.
ANYTHING BUT CORPORATE
I feel like a chic-machine in this shirt. Worn with ripped jeans or cropped black pants, flats or heels, this shape will take even your mom jeans & Reeboks to the next level. The pleating in the back helps to maintain the silhouette and keep you looking sharp. Plus no sleeves makes for an easy transition from your ice-cubicle to the heat of the real live sun - a great excuse to get outside for once.
